HR Generalist/Payroll and Benefits Administrator

The HR Generalist/Payroll and Benefits Administrator will report directly to the Corporate Director of Accounting and Finance and will support all departments within Supplyframe. We are a tight-knit group, so this individual will have direct exposure to all levels of management. The right candidate will be a resourceful professional who can effectively manage a diverse set of responsibilities while readily grasping the quickest, easiest way to get to the goal, no matter the challenge.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Corporate Director, Accounting & Finance to drive best practice related to Human Resources and people operations as the organization grows
  • Serve as the face of HR to answer questions and resolve issues quickly and confidentially
  • Develop and lead new hire orientation program, serving as the employee’s first resource related to benefits enrollment and payroll
  • Process new hire and termination paperwork, including I-9 and E-Verify
  • Process multi-state payroll for 100+ employees and resolve payroll-related issues
  • Maintain state SIT and SUI accounts for 13+ states, open new state jurisdictions as needed
  • Enrollment and administration of employee benefits including health plans, HSAs, FSAs, and 401K
  • Assist Director with yearly open enrollment, including working with broker to develop benefits package, helping employees with their enrollments
  • Liaise with immigration attorneys to help employees complete Visa paperwork
  • Assist Director with creation of employee handbook, company policies and to implement required employee training programs, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance
  • Maintain ADP WFN home page and portal, including all documents and policies
  • Work with ADP to develop custom management reports for various audit, tax and compliance purposes
  • Work with ADP to complete and distribute yearly ACA required tax forms
  • Evaluate ADP compared with other HR/payroll platforms to ensure best practices and implement new platforms if necessary
  • Complete paperwork when needed, including worker’s compensation, unemployment and disability claims, as well as EDD benefit audit forms
  • Assist Director to fully implement ADP Comprehensive Benefits
  • Recruitment - assist various managers with job postings, writing JD’s, collecting resumes as needed
Required Skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Remarkable attention to detail with demonstrated organizational skills
  • Able to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and solving problems
  • Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment
  • No ego – a willingness to be flexible and do what needs to be done to move the company forward
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ADP WFN
  • 3-5 years of experience with benefits, payroll, and Human Resources
  • Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Human Resources preferred
  • Understanding of HIPAA, COBRA, and workers compensation related laws and reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws
